Without a doubt, this pattern was one of the most fun I have ever designed.....maybe because it really is nice and quick to make (Ok so it still took WEEKS to get this pattern together BUT that is beside the point!).... It's not very complicated at all! Trust me! Norma, one of my testers, made 5..... yes FIVE of them in the short time she had the pattern for testing! I have rated this pattern "Intermediate" only due to the... Read more →

WOOHOO....I am soooo happy that I can now bring you this laptop bag! As per usual, I ended up complicating this for myself by adding extras to the pattern instead of just leaving as is and finishing it off! LOL This time it is in the form of extra sizes. Yep, this pattern includes both the pattern pieces AND cutting measurements for not one or two BUT THREE size variations so it is easier to make a laptop bag that... Read more →

One of the things I enjoy most about designing bag patterns is when I see the bag being made up by other people...I know I can make up my own designs (of course! LOL)....BUT to see them actually come to life being made by my testers is totally AWESOME FUN! Today I am happy to share some more of the testers pics of the Uptown Girl! :) First up - Robin has now added straps to her bag. She just... Read more →

I know that I have blown my trumpet on Lombard Street quite a bit lately BUT today I would like to share a few more of my pattern testers photos with you anyway! These Ladies didn't quite make it in time to meet my deadline (should I say rediculous deadline??) and the introductory posting on my new Lombard Street bag BUT.....I can't help myself....everyone has done such a great job, it is hard not to share them with you anyway!... Admittedly it took me a bit longer to get this done than I had anticipated (When doesn't it? LOLLL) BUT....that is only because I want to make sure the pattern is the best I can get it! One thing is for sure....I could NOT do that without the help of all my wonderful pattern testers AND my proof reader extraordinaire, Rochelle! Almost all of the testers had trouble getting the eyelets....That was my fault as I didn't give them enough... Read more →
