Introducing The Morphing Convertible
Tuesday, 10 January 2023
Happy New Year everyone! SO much went on in my life in 2022. It was very long and a whirlwind and with so much personal stuff, that CWD took a back burner for most of it.
However, I have lots of new plans for CWD for the New Year. The first is releasing my first pattern for 2023! I hope you like it as much as I do! Introducing The Morphing Convertible.
The PDF pattern for The Morphing Convertible has 51 pages of instructions which include 123 step by step colour photos. TWO sizes are included with this pattern!
The pattern comes with written printing instructions as well as video instructions on downloading, saving, and printing for both a PC and Mac.
Pattern pieces are included for both shaped and rectangular pieces, as well as cutting measurements for rectangular pieces, so you can choose your preferred cutting method. Both Metric and Imperial measurements are included!
PLUS, a TEXT ONLY version of the instructions is available separately, for printing purposes. This is great should you not need or wish to print all the photos! Simply refer to your electronic versions for photos if needed! Saves on ink!
The Pattern files come in both A4 and Letter sizes for your printing convenience.
The Morphing Convertible is a fun, modern and practical backpack convertible with a front hidden zipper pocket:
.....a back quick access phone pocket and a double zipper top closure.
Inside you will find another zipper pocket: The lining construction is unique, and it is not a drop in lining. No hand stitching is necessary and there is no binding either!
The pattern comes with two sizes included. For the large size, you may like to add Pocket Supplement A for some additional slip pockets. Instructions are included for modifying the supplement to fit the large size.
The unique adjustable strap allows you to quickly convert from a backpack to a crossbody bag. There are optional top handle straps to grab and go!
Large: Approx. 26cm (10”) W X 36cm (14”) H X 10cm (4”) D.
Small: Approx. 20cm (8”) W X 25cm (10”) H X 8cm (3”) D.
As usual, my favourite part of the pattern release is sharing the tester photos with you. Since I have many plans for new releases this year, I have expanded my tester pool so I am even more excited to share the work of some new testers and some returning testers from many moons ago! WOOP!
So, before we get to the eye candy part, I want to say a great big HUGE thank you to each one of my testers, the old and the new....without them CWD wouldn't be here! With all the eagle eyes of the testers hopefully the pattern is as close to perfect as we can get it! Testing also helps pinpoint where there are issues or difficulties in the instructions that need to be ironed out (clarified).. As I always say, I believe I have THE BEST testers in the industry! You ROCK ladies!! So, let's look at some Tester Photos:
